Declaration of Independence

You guys could not have had as much fun as I did punking you in class today! Of course, it was to make a point. Not everyone was ready to go all in against the British right away. Just like you, some were ready to fight right away; some were unconcerned; and an even larger group did not want any trouble, but would get involved if it looked like things were going their way. And look at some of the things you were mad about: a loss of privacy, things of value being taken from you, your rights being ignored. Not much different for the colonists, eh?

Look at the Declaration of Independence with your eyes opened a little bit now. Remember we will recite,"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." Also you had some events to put on a timeline that will be due Thursday.
